I got a service warranty with my recent air conditioner

When I bought my modern HVAC system, I also bought a repair plus service agreement; I had numerous years of free inspections plus servicing. If I had to have a service done, all I had to spend my money on was the parts, but the job was free! Last week, I called the HVAC company because of a problem with my furnace. I didn’t guess what was wrong; however, I knew I didn’t have enough heat, when the HVAC serviceman arrived… He repaired the furnace plus handed me a bill. I told him I had a repair plus service agreement, plus he just stared at me; he also said this wasn’t repair, but just a repair, then repairs that were completed when the repair was done were covered. I had to spend my money for this service call. I paid him, however I also called the HVAC company. I wanted to guess why the HVAC serviceman would not honor my service agreement… The HVAC serviceman who answered the iphone asked for my name plus address. He looked up the account and told me I didn’t have a mechanical agreement, plus he didn’t realize why I was charged. He said he would talk to the HVAC serviceman when he got back to the office, plus provide me a call, another minute later, I got a call from the HVAC business. They were sending my check back to me. He apologized plus told me the HVAC serviceman was modern plus he didn’t guess about the repair agreements. I think they need to let their modern HVAC servicemen guess about all policies before sending them to a customer’s house.
