When my hubby plus I were building our apartment my good friend and I had no idea that there were unusual heating plus cooling systems.
- I was extremely impressed with our local heating plus cooling serviceman because of his extensive knowledge in pointing us to the right direction on where my good friend and I wanted to go.
He took in account of our interests in wanting to save energy plus also our budget in how much money my good friend and I wanted to spend… First my good friend and I need to figure out if my good friend and I wanted to have a mini split system installed or a heating plus cooling system such as central air, then basically the difference between a mini split system plus central air is that mini-split systems have little to no air duct, however that means that there has honestly little energy lost, but central air uses air duct plus it’s more susceptible to leaks in the air duct. According to our Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman leaky HVAC ducts can account for at least 30% of energy consumption. This is especially the case if the component is in a unconditioned space like attics or basements. He also said that central air is more high-priced plus there is a lot of intrusive air duct. I wouldn’t mind a mini split system, it seems like it would do just plus a central air system however my hubby was leaning more towards the idea of having central air installed in our home… What I really like plus thought was interesting about a mini split system was that in the rooms that my good friend and I don’t use a lot, a thermostat zone control can be installed. Meaning that my good friend and I can control the temperature in unusual areas of our apartment depending on how much my good friend and I use those rooms. I was really impressed by the features of a mini split system however in the end my hubby plus I both agreed that central air would be more beneficial to us in the long run.
