I was kneeling in my learn looking out the window watching the rain pitter patter & streak down the glass. I had a moderate mug of mulled pear cider in my hand, enjoying the warmth it was giving off. I took a sip & shivered. I was wrapped up in both a cozy jacket & a blanket waiting for the HVAC professional I had called earlier in the afternoon to arrive, my gas furnace gave out the night before. It was around 4 a.m. when I woke up cold frosty & I knew something was up with the heat. I checked the control unit only to find that it was dead. That was quite curious because I distinctly remember increasing the batteries just a few weeks ago, & they were supposed to last for nearly a year! I ascertained that there was some sort of electrical problem going on, but I knew that it was best to wait on a professional to check it out for me. There was a strenuous freeze warning the night before. I ran my faucets at a trickle to ensure that the pipes did not freeze; Perhaps the cold rapidly increasing temperatures had done something to the wiring fastened to my gas furnace. My smartphone vibrated on the windowsill & I checked it to find that the HVAC professional had sent myself and others an replace saying that he was leaving the shop & was on his way. I started afternoondreaming about what he may look like. If he is handsome & manages to repair my gas furnace abruptly, I may just supply him a kiss & a moderate hug & invite him to stay!
