Often, when you meet the people that you are going to be friends with for the rest of your life, you hardly ever feel that it’s going to happen. Sometimes, you may even initially strongly don’t like them. That’s pretty much the story of myself and others & my best friend Jake from junior high school! Jake liked to play practical jokes on most people, so needless to say, he was not legitimately popular. Still, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him & sat down with him at dinner 1 afternoon because he was all alone. The fact that he slipped a whoopee cushion on the bench beside him right before I sat down was a bit trite, even all that time ago, but it turned out that every one of us shared many official interests. Every one of us both loved video games & sci-fi, among other things. Fast forward to today, & I went to university while my friend ended up in HVAC school. He has always enjoyed working with his hands, & he makes sure that I get the best possible deals from the HVAC company he works for. In fact, sporadically, when I have an HVAC problem, he will personally come to my home & repair it for free, simply because he enjoys the challenge, & he has my best friend. It’s a great thing too, because when it comes to mechanical things I am utterly lost. For example, once there was a immense issue with my HVAC system & when he came over to check it out, he almost right away walked over to the control unit & told myself and others that it had run out of batteries. Here I was thinking that I was going to have to spend money a bunch of currency to get my cooling system up & running again, & I had simply forgotten that control units run on batteries!
