When I met our spouse, she was dating our sister, she was going to HVAC school at the time, but I was just out of law school and working in a law firm.
The first time I laid eyes on her, I knew I had to have her.
She made me smile and laugh, and that was in the first half hour. I asked if she was a friend of our sister, but she said she was dating our sister. I could not figure out how our sister could get a lady that was this amazing. For the next week, she was at the home when I got home from work, and before our sister got home from HVAC school. I tried to tell her I was the good-looking sister, and she should go out with me, but she said no, but her smile was telling me she was lying. I knew she would go out with me if it wasn’t for our sister, and when she got home from her date that night, she looked bummed. She said Sheila had broken up with him. I wondered if it had something to do with me? I hoped it had something to do with me. She said she was so into her HVAC classes she wasn’t paying enough time to her. She knew she could not keep a relationship going with everything she had going on in her life. The next day, she was resting in the family room when I got home from work, and I asked her if she was waiting for our sister. She said she was working with her teacher, studying for her certification exam. She was there to see me and asked me out for supper.
