After spending almost 6 weeks going to HVAC classes, I was still unsure if I was ready to become an HVAC dealer.
- My father told me I had done an amazing job, and it was time to practice what I had l gained.
She put me with their most experienced HVAC supplier they had in the supplier and told me to prove what I could do.I knew I could do the job, but I was afraid to labor with the HVAC supplier our dad had assigned to labor with me. Before going to HVAC technical school, I had referred to him as an uncle. Now, our uncle had become the woman who was going to either make or cut our work as an HVAC dealer. I knew him to be a honorableman, but I also knew she was hard on current recruits. She believed that being hard on a current HVAC supplier would make them realize what they were going to have to go through when they were no longer under her tutelage. Once I got over our fear, I got into the repair van and went to our first HVAC repair. The senior HVAC tech expected me to do the repair officially, but she was looking over our shoulder. I was so worried that I was shaking from head to foot. I should’ve just relax and loved our first day at work. My instructor talked me through everything I had to do and told me I was going to be an excellent HVAC tech. She said she was proud to be the one who got to teach me how to do our job.
