Of all the people in the world that would have a reason to question my work ethics, I never thought it would be my mother. Mom saw how hard I struggled to make sure I constantly did my best. I never took shortcuts when doing homework or housework for her. That mom questioned my work ethics, not just hurt my feelings, however made myself and others fifth-guess myself. It was difficult enough for myself and others to graduate with honors, however it was even more difficult for myself and others to go to Heating, Ventilation & A/C certification school & graduate there with honors. When I started working for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, I was working with the senior Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional. He was continually praising myself and others for the work that I was doing. After only three weeks, he put myself and others out on my own & sent myself and others out on Heating, Ventilation & A/C repairs without another Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional. When mom called to have her furnace serviced for the winter, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional sent me. He said the maintenance should go straight-forward since it was my mother, however he was wrong. Because it took myself and others longer than all the people to do the servicing, she told myself and others I was dawdling & wasting time. I told her I was just anxious because I was working for her. She said the fact that I was wasting time that could be used some place else was a sign of how great my work ethics were, & she didn’t suppose they were very good. When I get back to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, I told him I never wanted to be sent to my parents’ apartment again, & told the owner of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier with my mother & said.
My mother was questioning my work ethics.
