I overheard a conversation between my sister-in-law and my wife.
She was saying she married the wrong brother, and I laughed.
I’m sure if anyone had heard me laughing, they would have thought it odd. I knew what she was saying, and it was funny. Last week, we had to call an HVAC technician to repair the air conditioning unit, and it was an expensive proposition. Instead of getting a repair done, we ended up needing a new air conditioning unit. My brother was an HVAC technician, and it would have been an easy fix for him. If he needed a new air conditioning unit, he would have gotten a discount on the equipment and been able to do the installation with no installation fees. My wife loves me, but sometimes it would be nice to have an HVAC technician in the house. Of course, sometimes it would be nice to have an electrician, doctor, or even a plumber in the family. I’m not sure why I didn’t think to ask my brother to do the installation and save me some money, but I didn’t want to bother him. I know how much time he puts in at work, and when he is home, he wants to spend the time with his family. If someone called me while I was enjoying family time, i wouldn’t be happy either. Last week, my brother’s refrigeration unit diet and he needed some help. He called and asked if I could come over. That’s when I was telling him about the air conditioning. He was upset that I hadn’t called him; since he had the weekend free.
