It was not difficult at all to convince me that it was a great plan to install a ductless mini split.
- My associate Ken kept saying how easy it was since he did the install a few times for some friends.
I had a few decent quotes for ductless mini split installations from the local HVAC companies. I wanted a 5-zone system, so all the installation costs were way up there. I remember talking with Ken about it & he kept saying it was best to do the installation on my own & he would have my back for sure. So I wound up buying the new 5 zoned system, which I got for a pretty satisfactory price. I wasn’t exactly sure what I should expect with the installation, but my associate Ken told me every step carefully & both of us didn’t rush or anything. Every one of us took our sweet time drilling the holes in the walls where both of us wanted to install the indoor air handlers. I have to admit, the units are beautiful & they genuinely compliment the house. Ken and I used special lineset covers for the outside of the house, & you can’t even tell that this system wasn’t installed by professionals. So far the ductless mini split has been working great. For some reason, I felt anxious that I wouldn’t get enough cooling for the house, but these systems job so well, I can genuinely go down to cold levels if you wanted, even though I always keep the temperature control in my personal zone set to 75 degrees. For me, that’s comfortable & not to mention the energy savings are sweet!
